Often a private space; I feel the most vulnerable here. Sometimes I hear the shower running and I sit with the fuzzy noise until I am somewhere else entirely.
I invite you to exist in this space that has become overgrown with coral, both therapeutic to create as well as to touch and hold.
Most pieces of 'coral' have been crocheted using a full ball of yarn and took typically between 1 day-1 week to create. The soundscape stemmed from a single recording of a shower that was then snipped up and edited.

My graduating showcase for 2023 at QUT with a BFA in Technical Production: for this piece, I was a part of the sound crew for the entire production.
I also created the exhibition 'The Bathroom' in it's entirety (Set design and creation, Lighting design, Sound design and creation).

The first two images and video below are some of my final product of 'The Bathroom' for Standing By 2023.
The last image below shows some of the crochet coral that I made in 2021 for a puppet show. It has felt quite rewarding to be able to reuse and expand the collection for this piece and I hope to find more ways to showcase the crochet elements!
